AJ Hackett Kawarau Bungy Centre

The Kawarau Bungy Centre, located on the Queenstown Trail, is a 'must-visit’ destination during your trip to Queenstown.

Clinging to a cliff face overlooking the stunning Kawarau River, the Kawarau Bungy Centre gets you up close and personal with the bungy phenomenon – whether you’re jumping or sightseeing. The 43 metre bungy jump from the iconic and historical bridge, was the world’s first, and is still the most popular bungy. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy the Kawarau Zip-line and Kawarau Swing.

Plenty of bike-parking makOn-site facilities include a café serving decent coffee and food, retail with AJ Hackett branded gear, and viewing areas across multiple levels of the bridge structure. The Gibbston Valley wine region surrounds the site, with a number of cellar doors accessible along the trail corridor.

Based at the trail heads of both the Arrow River Bridges Trail and the Gibbston River Trail, with penty of bike-parking and e-bike charging, the Kawarau Bungy Centre is a popular destination and stopping point for trail users. Refuel at the cafe, fill your water bottles, and watch or take part in the bungy jumping action: You've handled every descent on the trail network, this one's just 43 metres, straight down - no brakes required!
